MONTE AMARO
Traverse from the blockhaus
It is undoubtedly one of the most popular and demanding trekking routes of the Majella. Starting from the Block Haus (2045 m), with a panoramic view of the Adriatic Sea, you pass two peaks above 2600 m, until you reach, through spectacular rock plateaus, the highest peak of the Majella and the second peak of the Apennines: the Monte Amaro with its 2793 meters of altitude.

The path of the Spirit
It's the land of Celestine; the hermit of the "Great Refusal", who led his ascetic and solitary life right in the heart of the Majella until he was appointed Pope. Set in the valleys and among the beech woods we find three of the most spectacular cave hermitages where the Benedictine took refuge until the age of 85.
